Dauphine’s Student Support

University Paris-Dauphine hosts apprenticeship trainings from Bachelor to Masters. By their diversity, these trainings offer companies versatile skills and answer the needs of the business world.

 

The University has developed various services for its 1000 trainees:

  • CV and letter writing workshop
  • Job interview’s simulation
  • Online job offers dedicated to Dauphine’s students
  • Apprenticeship Forum
  • Individual monitoring of the apprentice through two mentors: the company (supervisor) and Dauphine (mentor).

 

The article L117-4 of the French Labour Code states the Supervisor’s tasks:

  • Host the trainee in the company
  • Introduce the staff and the company activities to the trainee
  • Inform the trainee of all the rules and internal operations of the company
  • Organize and plan the apprentice’s work-station
  • Enable the apprentice to get the professional knowledge required for the job
  • Know the training and the results of the apprentice
  • Host the Dauphine supervisor in charge of supervising the apprentice
  • Assess the professional skills gained by the apprentice,

 

Dauphine Mentor’s tasks:

  • Provide external aid throughout the apprenticeship
  • Ease relationships in the company
  • Be the apprentice’s preferred contact during the entire training
  • Advise for professional project opportunities
  • Assess the apprentice’s training report

 

This global monitoring (before and during the apprenticeship) enables every trainee to develop his/her own professional skills and to define his/her professional project.
